Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans

In Pakistan Super League PSL season 11, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans by 24 runs in a strong performance. The match was played in Karachi. Moreover, this victory helped Zalmi maintain their top position on the points table.

Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 196 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Peshawar Zalmi played an aggressive innings with key contributions from their top order. Consequently, they set a challenging target of 197 runs for Multan Sultans.

Kusal Mendis scored 68 runs and Mohammad Haris added 38 runs for Zalmi. In addition, Babar Azam scored 18 runs, while Saim Ayub made 30 and Bracewell contributed 14 runs. For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Ismail and Peter Siddle took two wickets each.

In reply, Multan Sultans managed 172 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Shan Masood scored 35 runs and Josh Philippe made 32 runs. However, they failed to chase the target despite a steady start.

Finally, Zalmi’s bowlers performed strongly, with Sufiyan Muqeem taking 3 wickets. Additionally, Iftikhar Ahmed and Naheed Rana took 2 wickets each. Overall, PSL 11: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans to stay top, as Zalmi leads the table with 11 points while Multan stands second.
